The story follows Virgil, a half-devil, half-angel who is the last surviving member of his clan. His father, driven by greed and lust for power, killed everyone else in their clan and then turned on Virgil, sending him to the underworld where he was raised in captivity. As Virgil grows up, he discovers that he has powerful supernatural abilities, including summoning and controlling demons. Virgil decides to seek revenge against his father and the clan who betrayed his family. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including his brother, powerful mages, and even some gods. Virgil must navigate a complex web of alliances and rivalries to reclaim his family's honor and bring his father to his knees.

この世界では、小さい頃から特殊能力が授かる。その特殊能力をType【タイプ】と言う。 Typeは、それぞれ職業の事を表します。剣術が得意とする【剣士】槍を得意とする【ランサー】魔法を得意とする【魔術師】など色々なTypeがある。 この世界では、Vigil(ビジル)とゆう魔物が各地域で出現しTypeを持つ人間が立ち向かったのであった。Vigilに立ち向かうべく、主人公は、Typeを極めこの世界を救う物語が今始まろうとしている。
